RULES FOR EVERY CLASS

RULES FOR EVERY CLASS

Respect, participation, and following the rules is what I ask from students. Everyone has rules in life; parents follow rules, Principals and Administrators follow rules, teachers follow rules, and students should follow rules. These rules help us to become responsible, considerate, knowledgeable human beings.

The RULES for every student in every class are:

1) No Food or Drink - We are fortunate enough to have brand new computers for the 2016-17 year, so we want to keep them that way.

2) Be respectful to everyone. I ask that if a student is having a particularly bad day, they speak to me about it. I do not need to know the entire story, but I do like to understand why the student's actions may be "out of the norm" for him or her.

3) Be productive. A great majority of the work for every class is listed on this website under each section: Digital Literacy, Business Law, Business Principles. We will utilize this website as well as the Goggle Classroom to complete a majority of assignments. Students will become familiar with how to access and use each website by the time winter approaches. We will continue to use both of these websites during inclement weather days (snow days). Students who do not have internet access at home, MUST ask for a packet of hard copies BEFORE the snow day unless it is an emergency. In most cases, everyone is well aware a winter storm is approaching. Assignments are expected to be completed during inclement weather days and I can be reached by email leeann.ferguson@christian.kyschools.us if needed.

4) Stay on task!  This means: ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES, NO MUSIC, NO VIDEOS OR GAMES UNRELATED TO THE COURSE!!!

Cell phones: If I see a cell phone, it will be retrieved by an Administrator - students may later pick up the phone at the office.

Music: No music is allowed. If a student is listening to music, I can not be heard, therefore if a student is using ear buds, they will also be sent to the office.

Videos, YouTube, etct: If a students is off task and viewing content unrelated to the class, there will be 1st time) warning to turn it off; 2nd time) a minor disciplinary form will be completed and turned in to the office and the student's computer will be disconnected for the remainder of that period - all work will then need to be made up at a later time; 3rd time) another minor disciplinary form will be completed and turned in to the office and the student's computer will be disconnected for the remainder of that period - all work will then need to be made up at a later time; 4th time) a major disciplinary form will be completed and turned into the office and the student's computer will be disconnected for the remainder of that period - all work will then need to be made up at a later time. PHONE CALLS TO PARENTS WILL BE MADE ON ALL OCCASIONS BEGINNING WITH THE FIRST WARNING.
