I am a 2001 honor graduate of Christian County High School where I played basketball and softball. I was a 4-year varsity starter for the girls basketball team and a 6-year varsity starter on the softball team. While playing softball, I was selected as a 1st team all-state member and recorded the final outs with a double play to help secure the 1996 state softball championship!
While playing basketball, I was a 3-year All-District team member, All-Regional team member, and All-Kentucky New Era team member. I am a member of the Lady Colonels 1,000 point club and was selected as a member of the KY All-Star team to compete against the Indiana All-Stars-only the 2nd player at the time in girls basketball history to receive the honor!
I was able to receive a full Division I basketball scholarship to Belmont University in Nashville, TN where I was able to lead the team in assists and steals during our Atlantic Sun Championship seasons! I was awarded Belmont University Director of Athletes Character Award among all student athletes. I graduated from Belmont University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a minor in Athletic Training! After graduating from Belmont University, I became an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist/Personal Trainer and continue to hold this certification! I graduated from the University of the Cumberlands and received my Masters Degree in the Arts of Teaching!
I am looking forward to another great year of teaching Physical Education at CCHS! I want to help our students improve their overall health and physical well-being! Healthy eating and exercise habits at a young age help to carry over into a healthy lifestyle into adulthood.
I am so proud to be a Colonel and so happy to be able to help lead all of our Lady Colonels/Colonels of CCHS!
"Continuing a Tradition...Leaving a Legacy!"
GO COLONELS!!
